About the event

Every brain is wired differently—and that’s something worth celebrating! In this inclusive and empowering session, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and neurodiversity advocate, Shealyn Clinger will guide families through the basics of neurodiversity, helping parents and caregivers better understand how to support children with unique learning styles, communication needs, and emotional experiences.

Attendees will explore:

  • What neurodiversity means and why it matters

  • How to shift from a “fix-it” mindset to one of acceptance and support

  • Ways to create neurodiversity-affirming spaces at home and school

  • Tools for advocacy, emotional regulation, and embracing strengths
